VR Blow Wele Gen To End Stalemate

Cyssor was host to a stalemate as usual last night. The Terran Republic had the Vanu Sovereignty bogged down on the bridges in the south west corner of the continent. VR Command made a call and decided to make a push to drop the generator of the only technology plant that the TR had.

PlanetSide (and other SOE games) Free for 45 days

Due to the recent outage and restoration of SOE services, players have been given 45 days free in any game that they have ever prescribed to in the past.

What that means is:
Get back into PlanetSide. We are gearing up for PlanetSide Next, and are beginning to organize in PlanetSide once again. It is the perfect opportunity to play and realize how much you miss the game and the people of Vanu Rangers. We hope to keep a presence in PS until the release of the next game so we can start strong.

Currently Yuka, Akadios, and Anski are back in the game and putting the outfit back together. We would love to see old and new faces alike fighting for Vanu domination.

See you on the field!

Planetside countdown timer

Sony Online Entertainment added something to the PlanetSide site this evening with no fanfare or announcements of any sort: a countdown clock and a comic. The countdown clock currently sits at 18 days, 6 hours, and a whole bunch of minutes, seconds, and milliseconds. The comic is set "in a secret laboratory high above the mountains of Searhus" and features the familiar Big Red Button in the last panel.

Vanu Rangers - Gearing Up for the Future

Welcome to the new vanurangers.net, headquarters for all things Vanu Rangers!

It has been a long road since the initial forming of the Rangers in the original PlanetSide. Since our time there we have spanned many games over many years. Though many of us have lost touch with each other, the spirit remains and the Vanu Ranger ideals are a constant part of every person who has had the honor to wear the VR tag.

Now that PlanetSide 2 has been strongly hinted at and is almost certainly in production, we have decided that the Vanu Ranger banner should be raised in full once again. In the break we have had from PlanetSide, Yuka has managed to go from ultra MilSim enthusiast to a member of the United States Army. With this, has come his renewed interest in the Vanu Rangers with the idea of bringing real-life combat tactics to our virtual outfit.

The Vanu Rangers are, of course, no strangers to having real soldiers in our mix. We have been led into virtual battle and victory many times by working off of organized tactics and planning. The idea is to continue this trend to be the best that we can be while employing realistic combat tactics as they fit into the virtual world. What we will come out with is a better sense of teamwork and more importantly, crushing victories over our untrained enemies.

Keep your eyes peeled for more developments and information here. While it is true that Yuka is about to head out-of-country for the glory of the Vanu Rangers, he is never far away communication-wise. And I am still here tending to the home front!

So rally the troops and prepare for the return of the Vanu Rangers!
