Eve Online... Anyone?

I just picked up and started a 14 day trial. It seems playable even from the sand box. Seems like a game I could get into if I had some people to play with.

I played off and on for several months. The learning curve is (well, was) really high, and I never got very far into things. One of my favorite things about the game is the skill system, where you can learn skills while offline and they have a set amount of real-world time before they are learned. Of course the drawback is that the better the skill the longer it takes to learn.
I got interested in EVE because of the news stories I had heard about it. It all seemed so cool, but so far out of my reach! It sure does look pretty though.

The learning curve does seem pretty steep, but with all games I have thoroughly enjoyed for long periods of time, they have all had very steep learning curves. (Planetside, Star Wars Galaxies Pre-CU, ArmA 1 and 2)

Oh, and my name in the game is so original - Yukanojo

Not sure if server matters, but my login screen says I connect to Tranquility.

The fun thing about EVE is that there are only two servers - the live server and the test server. Kind of really interesting to know that you are playing in the same place as everyone else who is playing the game.
