A few updates

First and foremost, I added a content tagging feature to the website to make it easy to categorize blog entries, stories, pages, and polls. You can freeform enter tags that describe whatever it is that you are writing about. With this blog entry, I'm writing about the Website and Eve Online, so I added those two items, with a comma seperating them, to the Tags box. Easy as pie, and when you enter something, it will give you suggestions, too! It's GED friendly!

I've been playing a ton of Eve Online. I'm really getting hooked on it. I've recently begun transitioning into a drone boat pilot. I find it nifty to use drones to pave the way in combat. I'm learning about each drone type's niches and such. I've also started working on logistics as a secondary. I originally got into logistics to keep my drones healthy, but it also doubles as a way for me to keep my friendly space boats healthy, too.

I'm still working industry, as I train my combat-related and core skills to a level where I feel comfortable bringing my expensive drone boat into the risk of actual combat. I just upgraded my hauler last night and started using Giant Secure Containers to expand my cargo hold. Each GSC consumes 3000 m3 of cargo space, but provides 3900 m3 of cargo space within each one. I've cleverly named my GSCs with a labelling system that ties in with my delusions of granduer of one day building and operating a freighting division within my even more delusional thought of running some massive mega-corp that dominates all aspects of the game.

I'm also planning on expanding my mining capabilities further. I have a skill plan that will get me the Covetor mining barge, and ORCA, and eventually a freighter. It's an 86 day skill queue that seems feasible to me.

I also learned the joys of doing what I call a "skill sprint". I made a skill plan that is filled with all of the certifications that I would like to have one day and then sorted the skills by time to train, starting with the fastest skills first. Then I queued up the first 23 hours and 55 minutes of that skill tree and capped it with a 5 day skill. In 24 hours I had trained 38 skills, giving me a significant boost to attributes all around.

Hulkageddon is coming up in July. So if you are a miner or other industrial slave in New Eden, you'll want to either minimize your time spent outside of a station in an industry ship or avoid using one all together. More information can be had on the event's website @ http://www.hulkageddon3.machine9.net/ Be advised: the past events have run before and after the scheduled dates that were listed on the website, so be aware of your surroundings a week before and a week after the event is scheduled!
