Cyssor was host to a stalemate as usual last night. The Terran Republic had the Vanu Sovereignty bogged down on the bridges in the south west corner of the continent. VR Command made a call and decided to make a push to drop the generator of the only technology plant that the TR had.
"It was an easy choice because it was the only true option for us on the table" Yukanojo, Vanu Rangers Commander, said in a press release shortly after cessation of operations. "The Vanu Rangers have a primary standing mission to support the main effort through the user of unconventional warfare and we accomplish that by using speed, violence of action, and coordinated tactics across all of our elements to bring a hard fight to our enemies."
While details are sketchy, we do know a small team was able to infiltrate the technology plant while it was besieged by Black Ops, drop the generator and even establish a forward operating base to support prolonged activities at the base.
We asked the Vanu Rangers Ground Commander, Akadios, for more specifics about the operation. He however was unwilling to provide more details and stated, "The operations and tactics of the Vanu Rangers are classified for the security of our forces. I'll tell you something else, there is way too much information around about this operation, people need to learn to shut the fuck up and stop digging around."
Although we were turned down for comment from Commander Akadios we were able to find out more specifics about the operation. Apparently it is true that every plan, no matter how thorough is bound to meet some unexpected factors. After destroying the generator, the small team remained to ensure it would not be repaired. They met some resistance at first but nothing organized or substantial. After some time there, one of their scouting units reported that the black ops were actually working with the TR and a few minutes later the generator rescue team beached the generator door with black ops leading the way through.
The Vanu Rangers let loose a hail of gunfire as soon as the door was beached completely neutralizing the rescue team, including the accompanying black ops.
The team was able to hold the generator through many such waves, each one more intense than the last as rescuers from all over the continent rushed to help restore tech plant benefits at all of their bases in hopes of saving the continent from being overrun by VS forces. Despite their effort, teamwork, and coordination, the numbers game got the best of them and they were overrun in a valiant last stand.
However, they regrouped at their forward operating base and re engaged Wele's generator after the enemy had left for a second time. This time they also nearly drained the base's NTU silo and had it down to 10% before TR responders arrived. However, the TR response was too late and they had lost the Cyssor campaign due in part to lack of Technology Plant benefits.
