Vanu Rangers

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Vanu Rangers, here is how you start.

Here are some guidelines:

We are looking for some mature players that can fit into a close-knit gaming group and have fun while maintaining a serious attitude about accomplishing goals and overcoming challenges in the game. We are looking for players that are willing to learn new tricks and be taught serious tactics by our senior members and work as a member of a team first, play as an individual second.

When we play tactical shooters we are very serious. I, Yuka, am an infantryman in the United States Army. I take my job seriously and see video games as a way to expand my knowledge and skills through experimentation in video games. I understand that video games do not equate to real life and vice versa. But I do know that through modification and adaptation that real life tactics can be applied to certain games. I stand to push the envelope on what taken from my US Army field manuals will and can work in video games. Engagements in tactical shooters are to have After Action Reports (AAR) filed in an effort to document our experiences and learn from our mistakes or good choices. (More on AARs later.)

Submission of this application does not guarantee membership. Senior members will review the application and often times invite the applicant to join the Vanu Rangers during one or more gaming sessions during which they will evaluate the applicant's performance. While we typically are willing to accept any applicant and one of the Values of the Vanu Rangers are to always help out a fellow gamer, there are some that are "not workable" in that we cannot train or be bothered to change their attitude due to character "flaws" (for lack of a better word. If denied membership, please wait 90 days before resubmitting your application.
