Vanu Rangers

The past few nights have brought thoughts of creating a Ranger School within the confines of Planetside.

The basic concept of this would be to use the Vanu Rangers outfit as a school. Participants would make a new character that is reminiscent of their primary character's name with RANGER or RGR appended to the end or something to that affect. (I haven't decided on that appendage yet.) They would then be invited to the outfit.

The outfit would then hold training sessions, primarily on the weekend. The focus of this training would be to improve the skill level of players in the areas of leadership, tactics, and strategy in an effort to raise the bar in the game overall.

As participants attend classes, they gain rank that shows what level of class they have attended, 4 ranks. This is displayed on the outfit page on the website for EVERYONE to see. The participant's player stays in the outfit even after completion. This is to show in the future of their accomplishment.

The problems I am faced with are primarily accreditation. Nobody really knows us at this point anymore and we don't have the bodies to make a name for ourselves. We could ask other "experts" that are currently known to join us by creating a new character and going with that. It's much to ask considering the current state of Planetside but it's an idea - perhaps one we can develop and have ready for when Planetside 2 is released, if it is released.
